He is now the highest run-scorer and the leading wicket-taker for Bangladesh in this cycle. By scoring 500 runs and taking 30 wickets in a single cycle, Miraz has entered the elite club of all-rounders.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz once again proved to be Bangladesh’s 'crisis man' during the Mirpur Test. Coming to the team’s rescue, he not only fought valiantly but also etched his name into the record books. With a crucial fifty and support from Jaker Ali Anik’s batting, Bangladesh managed to avoid the threat of an innings defeat and took the lead.
While scoring his fifty, Mehidy Hasan Miraz achieved a remarkable feat in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship cycle (2023-25), becoming the first Bangladeshi player to score 500 runs and take 30 wickets in a single cycle. He has now joined the prestigious club alongside Ben Stokes and Ravindra Jadeja.
