Facing consecutive defeats, Punjab Kings tasted the bitterness of loss in two consecutive matches. Taking on Super Giants in their third match, Punjab faced a defeat by 21 runs. Winning the toss, Lucknow chose to bat first on their home ground. With a designated 20 overs, Punjab scored 199 runs, losing 5 wickets. In response, batting, Punjab lost 8 wickets, scoring 178 runs in 20 overs, stopping Punjab's innings.
