Mashrafe Joins Detroit Falcons for US T10 League
Former Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is set to return to competitive cricket as he joins the Detroit Falcons in the US T10 League. This move comes after the addition of former spinner Abdur Razzak to the same team. The Detroit Falcons have signed Razzak directly, while Mashrafe was picked through the draft.
In addition to Mashrafe and Razzak, the Detroit Falcons will feature other Bangladeshi players such as Ariful Haque and Enamul Haque Junior. The Falcons' roster is shaping up to be a strong one with these notable additions.
Other Bangladeshi cricketers have also secured spots in the league. The Atlanta Riders have signed Elias Sunny, Kamrul Islam Rabbi, and Arafat Sunny, while Nurul Hasan Sohan will join the Riders on a direct contract. Al-Amin Hossain has been picked up by the new franchise, the Chicago Players.
Mashrafe, who last played in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for Sylhet Strikers and recently competed in the Dhaka Premier League, is making a return to the field after a break. The US T10 League, starting on November 8 and concluding on November 17, will feature a total of six teams: Detroit Falcons, Morrisville Unity, Chicago Players, California Bolts, New York Warriors, and Atlanta Riders.
This move marks an exciting chapter for Mashrafe and other Bangladeshi cricketers as they take on new challenges in the T10 format in the United States.
