India to Tour Sri Lanka for a Two-Format Series
India to Tour Sri Lanka for a Two-Format Series
The Indian national cricket team will tour Sri Lanka for a white-ball series. At the end of this month, India and Sri Lanka will face each other in two formats in Pallekele and Colombo.
According to a press release from Sri Lanka Cricket, a three-match T20 series will be held at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium from July 26 to 29.
A three-match ODI series will take place at Colombo's R. Premadasa Stadium from August 1 to 7. India will arrive in Sri Lanka on July 22 ahead of the two series.
After winning the T20 World Cup, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja have retired from the T20 format. Hardik Pandya is likely to lead India in this format in Sri Lanka.
Several players may be rested for the ODI series, and KL Rahul might take on the leadership role. This tour will be Gautam Gambhir's first assignment as a coach.
