This morning in Chennai did not go well for Bangladesh, mirroring their difficulties from the previous two days. In contrast, India concluded another impressive session. Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill navigated the third morning without facing any challenges, both reaching lunch with fifties and aiming for centuries. Their partnership has surpassed the hundred mark, with India scoring 205 runs for the loss of 3 wickets, extending their lead to 432 runs.

Throughout the session, Bangladesh had only one real chance to take a wicket. Rishabh Pant, who was on 72, could have been dismissed off a delivery from Shakib Al Hasan, but captain Najmul Hossain Shanto dropped a difficult catch after Pant attempted a lofted shot. Given a second chance, Pant became increasingly aggressive, finishing the session unbeaten on 82 runs, while Gill contributed 86.

India wrapped up the previous day with a strong sense of impending victory, and they continued to build their lead quickly this morning. Although they lost three wickets while scoring 81 runs in the late afternoon, their batting duo of Gill and Pant ensured further runs today.

Bangladesh's bowling unit had a disappointing session. Despite having the opportunity to dismiss Pant at 72, Shanto's missed catch added to the team's frustrations. A total of 28 overs were played in the session, during which India added another 124 runs, deepening Bangladesh's sense of disappointment.
