Bangladesh's in-form batter, Soumya Sarkar, is optimistic that the Bangladesh bowlers will make a strong comeback in the T20 format. He expects the team to perform well all-round and is confident about a comfortable victory against the West Indies in the upcoming T20 series. Soumya emphasized the importance of consistency from the batters, drawing confidence from their performance in the recent ODI series, where Bangladesh scored 300 runs.

Before the start of the 20-over series at the Arnos Vale Ground in Saint Vincent, Soumya spoke with optimism about the Bangladesh bowling unit. Despite a whitewash in the three-match ODI series, where the Bangladesh bowlers struggled throughout, Soumya remains confident for the T20 format. "Our bowlers have always performed well, and though they struggled in the ODI series, I believe they will bounce back strongly in the upcoming T20 matches," said Soumya.

Soumya also stressed the importance of maintaining batting consistency. "If the batters who performed well in the ODIs can carry that form into the T20s, it will be a great advantage. Since we scored 300 runs in the ODIs, if they can maintain that consistency in T20s, I believe we will have a good series, both with the bat and the ball," he added.

Acknowledging the strength of the West Indies in T20 cricket, Soumya dismissed the "favourite" label often associated with the hosts. He pointed out that the result of the match will depend on who performs well over the 40 overs. "It's not about who is the bigger or smaller team, it’s about who plays well for 20 overs and who performs better across 40 overs in the match. If we can perform well in batting, bowling, and fielding, and play as a team, we should be able to defeat them comfortably," said Soumya.

"We know the West Indies are a strong T20 team, but we need to focus on our own strengths. If we can give our best performance, we can win the match easily," he concluded.
