Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor of Bangladesh’s Interim Government, called National Cricket Team captain Najmul Hossain Shanto to congratulate him on the historic Test series victory against Pakistan.
"Congratulations from the government and from me personally. The entire nation is proud of you," said the Chief Advisor to Shanto shortly after Bangladesh won the second Test in Rawalpindi by six wickets. This victory secured a 2-0 series win for Bangladesh.
He also mentioned that the team would be honored upon their return to the country.
