Hardik Pandya Tops ICC T20I All-Rounder Rankings Again

India’s Hardik Pandya has reclaimed the top spot in the ICC Men’s T20I all-rounder rankings. His pivotal role in India’s 3-1 series victory against South Africa has propelled him to the summit. This marks the second time Pandya has achieved this feat in 2024; he first climbed to the top after the T20 World Cup, where India emerged as world champions.

Pandya advanced two places to reach the top with 244 rating points, pushing England's Liam Livingstone (231 points) to third place. Nepal’s Dipendra Airee holds the second position with 231 points.

India's Tilak Varma’s exceptional batting performance has catapulted him 69 places up the rankings, landing him in the top 10 for the first time. He now sits third with 806 points, while his captain Suryakumar Yadav dropped one spot to fourth.

Sanju Samson climbed 17 spots to 22nd in the batter rankings, thanks to his back-to-back centuries.

South Africa's Marco Jansen jumped 65 places in the all-rounder rankings to secure a career-best 14th spot. His captain Aiden Markram moved up one place to ninth, and teammate Tristan Stubbs climbed three places to 23rd in the batter rankings.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s Kusal Mendis rose three spots to joint 12th in the batter rankings with West Indies’ Nicholas Pooran and Australia’s Josh Inglis, all with 624 rating points. Shai Hope climbed 16 places to 21st after his half-century in his last T20I match.

In the bowler rankings, Australia’s Adam Zampa and Nathan Ellis made significant gains after their series win against Pakistan. Zampa rose five places to third with 693 points, and Ellis jumped 15 places to 11th with 628 points. India’s Arshdeep Singh advanced three places to ninth with 656 points, while his teammate Axar Patel moved up 10 places to 13th with 632 points.

Pakistan’s Haris Rauf improved from 24th to 20th with 601 points, and Marco Jansen climbed 20 places to reach 25th with 576 points.

Sri Lankan Players Shine in ODI Rankings

Sri Lankan players have made notable strides in this week’s men’s ODI rankings following their 2-0 series victory against New Zealand. Maheesh Theekshana moved up six places to sixth among bowlers with 650 points and climbed 11 spots to joint 25th in the all-rounder rankings.

Charith Asalanka advanced 11 places to joint 27th, and Jeffrey Vandersay soared 27 places to 72nd with 430 points.

Kusal Mendis rose nine places to 26th in the batter rankings with 603 points after his career-best 143-run knock, while his teammate Avishka Fernando moved up five spots to 62nd with 500 points.

New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner climbed two places to 17th with 579 points, while Will Young advanced 12 spots to 22nd in the batter rankings. Glenn Phillips moved up 13 spots to 63rd in the all-rounder rankings.
