Emotional Post by Litton's Elder Brother

Litton Das is going through a tough time. He has been unable to showcase his true potential with the bat. His poor form in the ongoing T20 World Cup is affecting the team's performance. Yet, he is one of Bangladesh's top batters in the T20 format.

In 2023, Litton was Bangladesh’s leading run-scorer in T20Is with 324 runs in 9 matches. However, in this World Cup, apart from a 36-run innings against Sri Lanka, he hasn't made any significant contributions. His scores in the current World Cup are 36, 9, 1, 10, and 16. In each match, he has faced more balls than he scored runs.

His slow 16 off 25 balls against Australia in the last match has drawn heavy criticism. Many believe that Litton should not be included in the playing eleven against India. Litton is undoubtedly going through a rough patch, with both his poor form and criticism from fans affecting him. However, in these difficult times, he has the support of his family, particularly his elder brother.

On Saturday afternoon, Litton Das's brother, Bappy Das, posted a heartfelt status on Facebook along with a photo of him with Litton. In his post, he expressed that Litton is not alone; he is standing by his brother during these challenging times. He reassured that their affection and love for Litton will not diminish even if he fails to score runs.

Here's the exact translation of Bappy Das's Facebook post:

"Why is this happening? Such a prolonged bad phase hasn't happened in the past 9 years. I haven’t seen any lack of effort. Apart from trying, what else can one do? I've seen aggressive, normal, and defensive attempts in cricket. Nothing is bringing success. If it doesn’t happen today, it will happen tomorrow. If not tomorrow, then the day after. I've been consoling myself with such thoughts. Even consolation has disappeared under the pressure of reality. Whether you succeed in cricket or not, whether the general public loves you or not, always remember that your family will always be by your side. Even if you don’t score in 100 matches, our affection, love, and respect for you won’t diminish at all. This Facebook post is not to encourage you, but just to remind you not to feel alone during your tough times. May God always keep you healthy and strong."
