In the final of the NCL T20, Dhaka Metro set a meager target of 63 runs for Rangpur due to a batting collapse. The Dhaka Metro batters were completely outclassed by the bowling of Mukidul Islam Mugdho and Alauddin Babu, losing wickets from the start. In the end, Dhaka Metro was all out for just 62 runs in 16.3 overs.
Playing first after losing the toss, Dhaka Metro, led by Naim Sheikh, struggled to get going. Mugdho struck early, dismissing Imranuzzaman for just 4 runs in the first over. In the very next over, Alauddin Babu removed Naim Sheikh before he could open his account.
Mugdho then delivered another blow in his second over, dismissing Anisul Islam. On the very next delivery, he removed Aminul Islam Bipul. Mugdho had a chance for a hat-trick, but missed out on it.
Dhaka Metro found themselves in deep trouble, losing 5 wickets for just 16 runs. Shamshur Rahman Shuvo top-scored with 14 runs, while Abu Haider Rony contributed 13 runs. No other batter managed to reach double digits, and Dhaka Metro was bowled out for just 62 runs in 16.3 overs.
For Rangpur, Mugdho claimed 3 wickets for just 12 runs, while Alauddin Babu also took 3 wickets, conceding 12 runs.
