In the Rawalpindi Test, Bangladesh has scored 316 runs for the loss of 5 wickets at the end of the third day, in response to Pakistan's first innings total of 448 runs. Four Bangladeshi batsmen have scored fifties: Sadman Islam, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Liton Das. The Tigers are still 132 runs behind.

Mominul Haque was dismissed for 50 runs off 76 balls in the first innings. After the third day, he spoke to the media about his innings: “As a senior player, with so many Test matches under my belt, I should not have been out for 50 runs. I should have scored more runs. I needed to bat for 3-4 sessions. I feel it was a bit of a crime (laughs). I shouldn’t have been out for 50 runs.”

The Pakistan cricket team has deployed a pace attack against Bangladesh, with four fast bowlers in the playing eleven. Regarding the pacers, Mominul Haque said, “Regarding the pacers, Pakistan has played four fast bowlers. You can’t single out just one bowler as good. They are all good pacers. The way they bowl—line, length—I think every pacer is excellent.”

Liton Das had been struggling for runs for some time and faced criticism for being dropped from the playing eleven. However, he has found form against Pakistan, batting with an ODI-like approach and keeping the pressure on the opponents. He remains unbeaten with 52 runs off 58 balls.

Mominul Haque commented on Liton Das: “Liton Das is a classical batsman, and everyone knows that. He made a difference in just one over, especially in the over from Naseem Shah. As a result, the game has come back into our hands.”
