Coach Zafrul Ehsan Passes Away
Coach Zafrul Ehsan Passes Away
Senior High Performance (HP) coach Zafrul Ehsan has passed away. Since December 2022, he had been battling acute myeloid leukemia.
This esteemed coach breathed his last this morning (June 18) in Dhaka. He was 60 years old at the time of his passing. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has expressed condolences over his death.
Zafrul Ehsan joined BCB in 2006 and served in various capacities since then. He was the head coach and batting coach of HP from 2015 to 2022.
From 2010 to 2013, he served as the head coach of the Bangladesh U-19 team. He was the head coach of the national women's team from 2007 to 2008. Zafrul Ehsan also worked as the batting coach for the Bangladesh A team.
A Level 3 certified coach, Zafrul Ehsan was part of the coaching staff for different teams in the National Cricket League (NCL), Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL), and Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
