At the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogura, Central Zone delivered a brilliant batting performance to defeat East Zone by 5 wickets in the BCL match.
East Zone, after winning the toss, batted first and scored 237 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their full 50 overs. Zakir Hasan scored 45, Mominul Haque 34, and Yasir Ali 37, while Parvez Hossain Emon contributed an important 27 runs.
In bowling, Rakibul Hasan took three wickets, while Ripon Mondol claimed two and Taskin Ahmed took one wicket.
Chasing a target of 238, Central Zone started aggressively. Mohammad Naim Sheikh scored 83, Mahfijul Islam 29, and Abu Haider played a spectacular unbeaten 66, guiding the team to a 5-wicket victory in 45.3 overs. Abu Haider Rony was named the Player of the Match.
For East Zone, Nayeem Hasan took two wickets, while Nasum, Mominul, and Mushfiq Hasan claimed one wicket each.
