Canadian Model Yesha Sagar's BPL Journey Ends in Disappointment Amidst Conflict with Chittagong Kings
Canadian model and fashion influencer Yesha Sagar, who entered the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) with much excitement, ended her stint in disappointment. She parted ways with Chittagong Kings midway through the tournament due to various conflicts with the franchise. Yesha was even served a legal notice by team owner Samir Kader Chowdhury for not fulfilling her contractual obligations.
According to the contract, Yesha Sagar was required to complete certain tasks, but failed to do so, prompting Chattogram Kings to issue a legal notice. After receiving the notice on February 2, Yesha did not engage in any further work with the team and left Bangladesh. She has also leveled serious allegations against the Chittagong Kings, claiming that the franchise had asked her to model in advertisements beyond the scope of her contract. However, the franchise has countered that Yesha did not fulfill the tasks outlined in her contract.
On February 2, the legal notice was sent on behalf of Chittagong Kings' owner Samir Kader Chowdhury by lawyer Mohammad Sakawat Hossain. The notice stated:
"According to Clause 9 of the contract, you (Yesha) have failed to perform your duties, and despite being officially invited, you failed to attend the sponsor dinner. You have neglected to complete the necessary sponsor shoots and promotional shout-outs. Your failure to comply has caused financial and reputational damage to the franchise (Chittagong Kings)."
The notice further stated: "You are being given two (2) days from the date of receipt of this notice to resolve the matter amicably. If you fail to fulfill your contractual responsibilities, my client will take further necessary legal action according to the law."
