Can Bangladesh Beat India In Test Series? Dinesh Karthik's Three-Word Reaction Goes Viral
India has won 11 out of 13 Tests against Bangladesh. Additionally, after a convincing 4-1 victory over England in the recent Test series, India has solidified its position at the top of the Test Championship points table. How much respect will this team give to Bangladesh? The recent victory of Bangladesh over Pakistan has altered the answer. This win has caused Team India to sit up and take notice, prompting them to declare a strong team. However, former Indian cricketer and commentator Dinesh Karthik believes that India will not have much trouble defeating Bangladesh.
In an interview with cricket-based media outlet Cricbuzz, Dinesh Karthik expressed doubts about Bangladesh’s ability to defeat India, saying, "Personally, I don’t think so. Beating India on Indian soil is a huge challenge. Bangladesh has performed well in Pakistan, but I don’t think India will face much trouble defeating Bangladesh."
Karthik believes that India might prepare pace-friendly wickets for the Test series against Bangladesh. As part of their preparation for the Australia series, India could use pace-friendly conditions against Bangladesh, "I think India might opt for somewhat pace-friendly wickets. They might do this with the strategy of defeating Bangladesh in mind. Additionally, it serves as preparation for the Test series against Australia. I think they could play three fast bowlers alongside the two spinners (Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja)."
Bangladesh has already arrived in India and started their preparations. The first Test will begin in Chennai on September 19, with the second Test starting in Kanpur on September 27. Following that, a three-match T20I series will be held.
