Bangladesh HP Team to Play in Northern Territory T20 Tournament in Australia
Bangladesh HP Team to Play in Northern Territory T20 Tournament in Australia
The Bangladesh High-Performance (HP) team will participate in the Northern Territory T20 Tournament in Australia. The tournament is scheduled to be held in August. A total of 9 teams, including Bangladesh and Pakistan, will participate. Cricket Australia released the schedule for the Territory T20 Tournament in a press release on Thursday.
Alongside seven local teams, Bangladesh's HP team and Pakistan's Shaheens will compete, along with Big Bash teams Perth Scorchers and Adelaide Strikers. Last year, 6 teams participated, but this year the number has been increased to 9.
Naimur Rahman, head of the BCB's High-Performance department, said, "We sincerely thank Northern Territory Cricket and Cricket Australia for inviting the BCB's HP team to play in the prestigious Top End Series. This opportunity will undoubtedly provide invaluable experience to our players. The team will gain experience playing in a high-standard competition."
In addition to the Northern Territory T20 Tournament, the Bangladesh HP team will also play two four-day matches and two 50-over matches against the Pakistan team.
The Bangladesh HP team will face Melbourne Renegades on August 11. On August 12, they will play against Tasmania, and on August 14 against Adelaide. The team will play against ACC Comets on August 15, Pakistan Shaheens on August 16, and Perth Scorchers on August 17.
