Bangladesh Cricket Team to Play Preparation Match in Antigua Ahead of West Indies Tour
The Bangladesh red-ball cricket team is on a tour of the West Indies. Before the start of the Test series, Bangladesh will play a two-day preparation match against the West Indies Championship XI in Antigua. Initially, the match was scheduled to be a four-day encounter but has now been reduced to two days. The match will begin at 8:00 PM Bangladesh Time.
The two-day warm-up match will take place at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua on November 17-18, 2024, against the West Indies Championship XI. After this, Bangladesh will play two Test matches in Antigua and Jamaica against the West Indies. This Test series will conclude Bangladesh's participation in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship cycle.
The first Test will begin on November 22 in Antigua at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. The second Test will be played in Kingston, Jamaica, starting November 30. During this full tour, Bangladesh will also play three ODIs and three T20s against the West Indies. The ODI series will begin on December 8, and the T20 series will start on December 15.
