Bangladesh Cricket calendar 2025

Just like in 2024, the Bangladesh cricketers are set to have a busy year on the field in 2025. While there are no international matches in January, the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will take place. As soon as the tournament concludes, the ICC Champions Trophy will begin. However, Bangladesh will play fewer Test matches this year, with a primary focus on One Day Internationals (ODIs) and T20Is.

According to the confirmed schedule, Bangladesh will play over 43 international matches in 2025, with the majority being ODIs and T20Is. This year, Test matches will be fewer compared to the limited-over formats.

2025 International Cricket Schedule Overview:

• January: Bangladesh will be engaged in the BPL T20 tournament.

• February: The year will kick off with the ICC Champions Trophy, which will begin on February 20 in Dubai. Bangladesh’s campaign will start with a match against India. After their opening game, the team will travel to Pakistan for the next two group-stage matches in Rawalpindi. The second match will be against New Zealand on February 24, followed by a game against Pakistan on February 27.

• March: In late March, Bangladesh will host Zimbabwe for a series of 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is.

• May & June: Bangladesh will travel for two away tours in May and June. These will be against Pakistan and Sri Lanka, featuring a mix of ODIs, T20Is, and Tests.

• August: India will visit Bangladesh for a series comprising 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is.

• September: The Asia Cup, a major tournament in the T20I format, is expected to be held in September, though the venue is yet to be finalized.

• October: Bangladesh will host the West Indies for a full series, with 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. The T20I series will feature 6 matches.

• November: Bangladesh will conclude the year with a series against Ireland at home. The series will consist of 2 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 3 T20Is.
