Tigers probable XI for the must-win clash

After a disappointing batting display in the series opener, Bangladesh will be hoping for a fresh start as they take on West Indies in the second T20I today (Wednesday) at the Birshreshtha Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram. With the three-match series on the line, Litton Das and his men will be desperate to level the series and keep their hopes alive.

Bangladesh’s top and middle-order collapse in the first match left the team frustrated, prompting possible changes in the lineup. Wicketkeeper-batter Zakir Ali is likely to replace Shamim Patwary to strengthen the batting order, while all-rounder Sheikh Mehedi Hasan and pacer Shoriful Islam could return to the XI. Meanwhile, Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed, who have played continuously, might be given a rest.

Team management is expected to go with three spinners and two pacers in today’s game. On a batting-friendly pitch, Bangladesh’s focus will be on accelerating early and converting starts into big innings.

Despite winning the first T20I, West Indies are not taking things lightly. Determined to maintain their winning momentum, the Caribbean side returned to training less than 12 hours after their victory. Once known as a dominant T20 force, the West Indies are still in search of their old rhythm, while Bangladesh aim to bounce back and level the contest.

Probable Bangladesh XI:
Litton Das (captain), Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Saif Hassan, Towhid Hridoy, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Zakir Ali, Rishad Hossain, Sheikh Mehedi Hasan, Shoriful Islam, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, and Nasum Ahmed.
