Bangladesh, led by Liton Das, clinched the T20I series 2-1 by defeating Ireland. The biggest contribution in this series win came from the bowlers. Speaking at the post-match presentation, Liton praised his bowling unit:

"All the bowlers did their job really well, especially in the middle overs. Even though we didn’t get wickets in the first powerplay and they scored quite a few runs, the way Rishad Hossain and Sheikh Mahedi made a comeback was outstanding. They’re our main bowlers, they took responsibility and delivered."

After bowling Ireland out for 117 runs, Liton explained the plan Bangladesh had while coming out to chase:

"I noticed the wicket was turning a bit and getting slow. I told the batters to play their natural game, to attack in the powerplay. Because if we could score 30–40 runs in the powerplay, it would become easier to bat later on."

This was Bangladesh’s final international T20 before the 2026 T20 World Cup. The BPL is set to begin shortly, and the captain wants everyone to perform well there.

"Wherever they play, if they give their 100%, it will only benefit Bangladesh cricket. I want all players to perform in the BPL and continue doing the same when they come to the national team."

Finally, Liton thanked the people of Chattogram for coming to the stadium and supporting the team:

"Thank you, Chattogram. Earlier I said that we couldn’t give you the result you expected, we couldn’t win. But we tried. This time we won the series. Keep coming to support us. It feels great when the stadium is full—it motivates us, and we really enjoy playing. Always keep supporting us. Thank you."
