On the third day of the Mirpur Test, creached a new milestone. He is now at the top of the list of Bangladesh’s highest wicket-takers in Test cricket.
Previously, Shakib Al Hasan held the top position. The all-rounder had long been at number one with 246 wickets in 71 Tests. But on Friday, Taijul equaled that record in just his 57th Test by taking four wickets. As a result, he has now moved to the top of the list as the bowler with 246 wickets in fewer matches. Shakib has dropped to second place.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz is third on Bangladesh’s list of highest Test wicket-takers, with 209 wickets in 56 Tests. In fourth place is Mohammad Rafique, who took 100 wickets in 33 Tests. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is fifth, with 78 wickets in 36 Tests.
With Taijul’s achievement, Bangladesh’s top-five list of Test bowlers has now been reshuffled.
