Bangladesh U-19 squad announced for Afghanistan youth series
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 16-member squad for the upcoming five-match Youth ODI series against Afghanistan U-19. Azizul Hakim Tamim will continue to lead the side, while in-form batter Jawad Abrar has been named his deputy.
There are no major changes in the squad, with most of the regular faces retained. The Afghanistan U-19 team is set to arrive in Bangladesh on October 25. After landing in Dhaka, they will head straight to Rajshahi, where they will have two days of practice before the series begins on October 28.
The first Youth ODI will be held in Rajshahi, followed by the second match on October 31 at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogura. The remaining three matches will take place at Rajshahi’s Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium on November 3, 6, and 9 respectively. The Afghan side will depart Bangladesh on November 10 after the completion of the series.
Bangladesh U-19 squad:
Azizul Hakim Tamim (captain), Jawad Abrar (vice-captain), Samiun Basir Ratul, Debashish Sarkar Deba, Rizan Hossan, Al Fahad, Swadhin Islam, Abdullah, Farid Hasan Foysal, Kalam Siddique Alin, Rifat Beg, Sad Islam Rajin, Sabuj, Rafi Uzzaman Rafi, Abdur Rahim, and Iqbal Hossain Iman.
