Before the upcoming Women's T20 World Cup in Bangladesh, the Indian women's cricket team will travel to Bangladesh. Bangladesh will host the Women's T20 World Cup in October this year. Keeping that in mind, the series against Bangladesh will hold extra significance for India.
As part of their preparations for the World Cup, the Indian women's cricket team will tour Bangladesh. While the exact number of matches in the series is yet to be finalized, it has been confirmed that the Indian team will visit Bangladesh in the first week of April.
On Friday (March 22), Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel, the chairman of the BCB and the Women's Wing, stated,
'India will play a series here before the World Cup. The schedule for the series has not been finalized yet. However, their visit for the series is confirmed.'
Despite losing the T20 series against India 2-1 in Mirpur last July, Bangladesh's women's team, led by Nigar Sultana Joti, managed to secure victory in the final T20 match. While the ODIs ended in a 1-1 draw, the drama-filled series showcased the competitive spirit between the two teams.
