No Shakib and Mustafizur in squad for preparation camp ahead of Zimbabwe T20Is
Before the five-match T20 series against Zimbabwe on home ground, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a squad of 17 cricketers for the preparation camp. The coaching panel led by Hathurusingha will conduct the training camp in Chattogram. Notably, missing from the squad are Mustafizur Rahman, who is currently busy with the IPL, and Shakib Al Hasan, who is currently in the USA.
Zimbabwe cricket team is set to arrive in Bangladesh on April 28 to play the T20 series consisting of five matches. However, BCB has not yet announced the squad for the upcoming series. Ahead of the series, 34 cricketers participated in the fitness tests for the Bangladesh team. From April 26 to 28, 17 cricketers will prepare in Chattogram.
The first three T20 matches of the series will take place at Chattogram's Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on May 3, 5, and 7. The remaining two matches will be held at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on May 10 and 12.
