New Zealand will play a five-match T20 series in Pakistan. Finn Allen and Adam Milne have been ruled out from that series.
In a press release, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has announced that Finn Allen has been sidelined due to a back injury, while Adam Milne is out of action due to a ankle injury sustained during practice sessions ahead of the Pakistan tour.
Before taking on Pakistan, these two cricketers were hit by injuries during training sessions. Therefore, they won't be able to participate in the upcoming T20 series set to begin in Rawalpindi next week.
New Zealand Cricket will soon announce when they can return to cricket.
In place of these two cricketers, wicketkeeper-batter Tom Blundell and all-rounder Zak Foulkes have been given the opportunity in the squad.
This is Foulkes' first opportunity in the New Zealand squad. Blundell has previously played for the New Zealand team and was also part of the squad during the Pakistan tour last year.
Although Tom Bruce was considered, he made himself unavailable due to personal reasons and will continue his contract with Lancashire.

Michael Bracewell (captain), Tom Blundell, Mark Chapman, Josh Clarkson, Jacob Duffy, Dean Foxcroft, Ben Lister, Cole McConchie, Zak Foulkes, Jimmy Neesham, Will Young, Tim Seifert (wicketkeeper), Ish Sodhi.
