In 2023, Zimbabwe became the first ICC full-member country to organize a T10 league, a shorter format of cricket, named the Zim Afro T10 League. Now, the second edition of the Zim Afro T10 League is set to take place in Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe Cricket has announced the final dates for the Zim Afro T10 League. The tournament will commence on September 21 and the final will be held on September 29 in Harare. The details of the players' draft and the fixture schedule will be announced soon.

Like the first edition, all matches of the Zim Afro T10 League will be held at the Harare Sports Club. The first edition marked the debut of floodlit matches at this venue.

Speaking ahead of the second edition of the Zim Afro T10 League, Zimbabwe Cricket Chairman Mr. Tavengwa Mukuhlani said, "We are delighted to restart the Zim Afro T10 tournament."

He further added, "The first edition was more of a festival than just a sporting event for us, and we expect even more this year. The T10 league has helped our white-ball game, and I am sure it will have a significant and positive impact on our ecosystem."

The founder and chairman of T10 Global Sports, Mr. Nawab Shaji Ul Mulk, said, "We can't wait to start the second edition of the T10 league in Zimbabwe. After a fantastic first edition, it is our duty to ensure the highest standards for the second edition so that fans get what they deserve, and both the country's cricket and the Zim Afro T10 benefit."

In the first edition of the Zim Afro T10 League, Bangladeshi players Mushfiqur Rahim and Taskin Ahmed participated. Mushfiq played for the Joburg Buffaloes, and Taskin played for the Bulawayo Braves.
