Cricket West Indies has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming six-match ODI series in Europe, which includes three matches each against Ireland and England. The squad, largely unchanged from the one that defeated Bangladesh 3-0 last year, features notable inclusions—wicketkeeper-batsman Amir Jangoo and young batter Jewel Andrew.
Amir Jangoo, who made a sensational debut with a century against Bangladesh, retains his place, while Jewel Andrew, who was not part of the Bangladesh series, has earned a call-up. The only significant omission is Shimron Hetmyer, who remains committed to the Indian Premier League with Rajasthan Royals and will not be available for national duty.
The ODI series against Ireland will be played at Clontarf Cricket Club in Dublin, with matches scheduled for May 21, 23, and 25. The team will then travel to England for three ODIs: May 29 at Edgbaston, June 1 in Cardiff, and June 3 at The Oval.
Following recent series wins over Bangladesh and England, West Indies currently sit ninth in the ICC ODI rankings and will be aiming to strengthen their position further in these tours.
West Indies ODI Squad:
Shai Hope (Captain), Jewel Andrew, Keacy Carty, Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, Justin Greaves, Amir Jangoo, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Brandon King, Evin Lewis, Gudakesh Motie, Sherfane Rutherford, Jayden Seales, Romario Shepherd.
