Walton Sponsors Bangladesh-Afghanistan Series
The 3-match ODI series between Bangladesh and Afghanistan is set to kick off tomorrow (November 6). This series will have Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, the country's leading and renowned tech giant, as the “Powered By” sponsor.
The Bangladesh-Afghanistan ODI series will take place in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. In this series, UAE’s telecom service provider, Etisalat, will serve as the title sponsor.
The series has been officially named as the "Etisalat Afghanistan-Bangladesh Series 2024, Powered By Walton."
Walton has long been a dedicated sponsor of Bangladesh’s cricket and other sports. For over a decade, this sports-friendly organization has supported domestic, national, and international cricket events in Bangladesh.
Wherever the Bangladesh national cricket team plays abroad, Walton is often seen by its side. This trend has continued almost without exception, reflecting Walton's commitment to energizing the national team and promoting sports. Walton was also associated with Bangladesh’s recent tour to India, and now, as a continuation, it has extended its sponsorship to the Afghanistan series as well.
Regarding the sponsorship, Walton's Additional Executive Director, Rabiul Islam Milton, stated, "Walton is a sports-friendly organization. Just as it supports other sports, Walton has also consistently served as a sponsor in cricket. With a vision of building a drug-free society, Walton has always prioritized sports. In line with this commitment, we are sponsoring this series and intend to continue our support in the future."
The series will be held in the historic Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the desert nation of the UAE, beginning on November 6. The remaining two matches will take place on November 9 and 11, respectively. Each match of this day-night series will start at 4 PM Bangladesh time.
