The opportunity to play in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 was granted to the country as the host nation. Before proving their capability on the world stage, they secured a 4-0 series win against Canada.

On April 13th, in the 5th and final T20 match against Canada, the United States of America achieved victory by 4 wickets.

In the first match, the USA won by 6 wickets. They chased Canada's target of 132 runs in 17.2 overs. On that day, the best performer for the team was Nosthusha Kenjige, who took 3 wickets for 21 runs.

In the second match, despite losing 3 wickets, the USA posted a score of 230 runs, their highest in international T20s. Steven Taylor scored 54 runs off 25 balls, Monank Patel scored 68 runs off 35 balls, and Andris Gous scored 57 runs off 35 balls to contribute to this total. The United States won the match by 31 runs.

Although the third match was abandoned, in the fourth match, they secured victory by 14 runs. Harmeet Singh remained unbeaten on 34 runs off 17 balls as the United States scored 159 runs in their allotted overs. He also took 4 wickets for 18 runs with the ball. Harmeet Singh emerged as the best bowler of the series, restricting Canada to 145 runs.

Harmeet Singh's performance stood out in the series, along with contributions from Monank Patel and Steven Taylor.

In the World Cup, the United States is in the same group as India, Pakistan, and Ireland (Group A).

Before that, they will play a T20I series of 3 matches against Bangladesh next month. The United States sent this strong message ahead of the series against the Tigers.
