Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed has secured a place in ESPNcricinfo’s annual awards for individual performances in 2025. Representing Durbar Rajshahi in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), he claimed the men’s T20 leagues best bowling performance award after taking 7 wickets for 19 runs against Dhaka Capital.
Taskin’s destructive spell dismantled Dhaka Capital’s batting lineup in that match. His remarkable seven-wicket haul is considered one of the best bowling performances in BPL history and earned him this recognition.

South Africa’s Aiden Markram won the men’s Test batting award for his 136-run innings against Australia in the World Test Championship final. Australia’s Mitchell Starc claimed the Test bowling award for taking 7 wickets for 58 runs against England in the Ashes.

England’s Phil Salt won the men’s T20I batting award for his unbeaten 141 against South Africa, while India’s Kuldeep Yadav secured the T20I bowling award for taking 4 for 30 against Pakistan.
In franchise T20 leagues, Australia’s Mitchell Owen won the batting award after scoring a 39-ball century against Sydney Thunder, while Bangladesh’s Taskin Ahmed claimed the bowling award.
South Africa’s Temba Bavuma was named men’s captain of the year, and Australia’s Beau Webster was awarded men’s debutant of the year.
In women’s cricket, Indian players dominated most of the major awards. Jemimah Rodrigues won the women’s ODI batting award, Deepti Sharma the ODI bowling award, Smriti Mandhana the women’s T20I batting award, and Shree Charani the T20I bowling award. Harmanpreet Kaur won the women’s T20 leagues batting award, while Kranti Gaud claimed the bowling award.
