Mushfiqur Rahim, who bid farewell to ODI cricket last night, was given a Guard of Honor today by his teammates during the Mohammedan Sporting Club–Rupganj Tigers match at Mirpur. However, Mushfiqur did not have to bat today, as his team, Mohammedan, comfortably secured a 7-wicket victory even before he came to the crease. Tawhid Hridoy and Mahidul Islam Ankon played crucial roles, both scoring fifties to guide their team to victory.

At the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Mohammedan won the toss and opted to field first. As he walked onto the field with his pads and gloves, Mushfiqur was honored with a Guard of Honor from his teammates, in recognition of his 274 ODIs for Bangladesh. However, before he could take his turn with the bat, Mohammedan had already sealed an easy victory.

Rupganj Tigers, batting first, were dismissed for just 222 runs in 49.5 overs, losing 9 wickets. The highest score for Rupganj came from captain Al-Amin Junior, who made 41 runs. Tanvir Haider also contributed 37 runs, but no batsman could manage a big score, and their innings faltered quickly.

Among the bowlers for Mohammedan, Ebadat Hossain, Taijul Islam, and Mehedi Hasan Miraz each took two wickets. Mushfiqur Hasan and Rony Talukdar picked up one wicket each.

In the chase, Mohammedan lost the wicket of Tamim Iqbal early on. Tamim, who scored 14 runs from 17 balls with two boundaries, was caught and dismissed. Rony Talukdar added 36 runs, and then Mahidul Islam Ankon came in to stabilize the innings. Ariful Islam contributed 15 runs before departing.

At 106 for 3, Mohammedan didn't face any further trouble and comfortably completed the chase. A 119-run unbeaten partnership between Hridoy and Ankon secured the win with ease. Both batsmen scored fifties, with Hridoy remaining not out on 74 from 47 balls, while Ankon made 81 runs, including 5 fours and 2 sixes, as Mohammedan reached the target with 12.1 overs to spare, winning by 7 wickets.
