South African Pacer Ottniel Bertman Out of the Third ODI Against Pakistan Due to Knee Injury
South African pacer Ottniel Bertman has been ruled out of the third ODI against Pakistan in Johannesburg due to a knee injury. He will also miss the final ODI of the series. Corbin Bosch has been called up as Bertman's replacement in the squad.
Bertman had taken two wickets in the first ODI but suffered a knee injury that has forced him out of the series. Corbin Bosch, an all-rounder, will replace him in the team.
The 31-year-old Bertman felt some discomfort in his knee during warm-ups before the second ODI, which led to his absence from the playing XI.
Bertman is the second bowler to suffer an injury in this ongoing series, following Keshav Maharaj. This injury adds to the list of pacers sidelined this summer, including Gerald Coetzee, Wiaan Mulder, Lungi Ngidi, Lizaad Williams, and Anrich Nortje.
After a big win in Cape Town on Thursday, Pakistan now leads the ODI series 2-0, holding an unstoppable advantage.
