Sohan to Lead Bangladesh 'A' Squad for Australia’s Top End T20 Series

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 15-member Bangladesh 'A' squad for the upcoming Top End T20 Series to be held in Darwin, Australia. Veteran wicketkeeper-batter Kazi Nurul Hasan Sohan will lead the side, which is set to depart from Dhaka on the evening of August 7.

Following their debut participation in 2024, Bangladesh returns to this competitive eight-team tournament featuring squads like Pakistan ‘A’, Nepal, Perth Scorchers, Melbourne Stars, Adelaide Strikers, and Northern Territory Strike, among others.

The squad features a blend of promising youngsters and experienced players, many of whom are on the fringes of the national team. Mohammad Naim Sheikh returns to the top order, while the middle-order boasts Afif Hossain Dhrubo, Yasir Ali Chowdhury, and Mahidul Islam Ankon. Several standout performers from the U19 World Cup have also been included. The bowling attack includes pacers Hasan Mahmud, Ripon Mondol, Mushfik Hasan, and left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan.

The team will arrive in Darwin on August 9, and their campaign begins with a high-voltage clash against Pakistan ‘A’ on August 14.
