In the NCL T20, Dhaka Metro defeated Rajshahi by 7 wickets on their home ground, while rain forced the abandonment of the Rangpur vs Sylhet match in Bogura.

Rain delayed the start of play in Rajshahi, raising concerns that the match might be called off. However, once the rain subsided, the game was reduced to 5 overs per side.

Losing the toss, Najmul Hossain Shanto’s Rajshahi batted first. Shanto fell for a golden duck, caught by Mahmudullah Riyad off Abu Hider Rony. Fellow opener Habibur Rahman Sohan managed just 2 runs, leaving Rajshahi reeling at 10/2.

Sabbir Rahman and Mehrab Hossain Ahin steadied the innings, counterattacking particularly against Shahidul Islam, who conceded 31 runs in his 2 overs. Rajshahi ended their 5 overs on 60/3. Sabbir remained unbeaten on 33 off 3 sixes and a four, while Ahin was not out on 15. Arif Ahmed picked up 2 wickets for Dhaka Metro.

Chasing 61, Dhaka Metro lost skipper Naim Sheikh early for 7 off 8 balls. But Mahfizul Islam Robin launched an explosive counterattack. While Mahmudullah (6) and Abu Hider Rony (8) fell cheaply to Shafiqul Islam, Robin held one end firmly.

Dhaka Metro wrapped up the chase in just 4.3 overs with 3 balls to spare. Robin starred with a blistering 30 off 12 balls, smashing 4 fours and 2 sixes.

For Rajshahi, Shafiqul Islam claimed 2 wickets and Asaduzzaman Payel took 1. Nahid Rana was expensive, conceding 20 runs in 1.3 overs without a wicket.
