Rishabh Pant Becomes the Most Expensive Player in IPL Auction History

Rishabh Pant set a record at the very start of the IPL 2025 mega auction, becoming the highest-paid cricketer in IPL auction history. After briefly losing the spotlight to Shreyas Iyer, Pant was acquired by Lucknow Super Giants for a staggering ₹27 crore, setting a new benchmark.

Highlights of the Mega Auction

The IPL 2025 mega auction kicked off with the marquee set 1, starting with Arshdeep Singh, who was picked up by Punjab Kings for ₹18 crore. Kagiso Rabada followed, joining Gujarat Titans for ₹10.75 crore.
