Pakistan v India and Bangladesh v India in an ICC tournament – yet again
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially approved the schedule for the 2025 Champions Trophy, proposed by hosts Pakistan. All of India’s group stage matches will be held in Lahore. The two semifinals will take place in Karachi and Rawalpindi, while the mega final is scheduled for March 9 at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium.
The ICC has formally approved Pakistan’s proposed schedule for the 2025 Champions Trophy. According to a report by England's leading news outlet, The Telegraph, the draft schedule for the Champions Trophy has been released.
In the opening match on February 19 in Karachi, hosts Pakistan will face New Zealand. The most high-profile match of the tournament, Pakistan vs. India, will be on March 1 in Lahore.
Bangladesh’s first match is the day after the tournament begins, on February 20. The Tigers will face India at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium. Bangladesh's second match will be in Rawalpindi on February 24, where they will battle against hosts Pakistan. The Tigers will play their final group stage match against New Zealand on February 27, again in Lahore.
The Champions Trophy will begin on February 19 and conclude on March 9, with 15 matches to be held in Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi. Group 'A' consists of hosts Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh. Group 'B' includes Australia, England, Afghanistan, and South Africa.
