Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Confirms Earlier Arrival of Bangladesh Cricket Team
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that the Bangladesh cricket team will arrive in Pakistan earlier than originally scheduled. The team was initially set to arrive in Islamabad on August 17, but they will now arrive in Lahore on the morning of August 13, four days ahead of the original schedule.
From August 14-16, the Tigers will begin their preparations for the first Test at the Gaddafi Stadium. Before heading to Islamabad on August 17, they will practice at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from August 18-20.
PCB Chief Operating Officer Salman Nasir said, "Sports is not just about winning and losing. I am confident that the additional practice in Lahore will help players showcase their best skills and talent on the world stage."
He added, "We are pleased that the BCB has accepted our proposal, and we look forward to welcoming the Bangladesh cricket team to Lahore on August 13 with our traditional hospitality. According to the original plan, they will have an additional three days of training before heading to Islamabad."
BCB Chief Executive Officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury said, "We thank the PCB for providing the Bangladesh cricket team with the opportunity for extra training in Pakistan. This will certainly help the players adapt to the conditions and prepare better for the ICC World Test Championship series."
This will be Bangladesh's first tour of Pakistan since 2020. During this tour, Bangladesh will play two Test matches against Pakistan.
