Nurul Hasan Sohan to Lead Bangladesh ‘A’ Against New Zealand ‘A’
Wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan Sohan has been named the captain of the Bangladesh ‘A’ team for the upcoming three-match One Day series against New Zealand ‘A’. The announcement was made today in Sylhet by the team’s head coach Mizanur Rahman Babul during a media interaction.
While the national team is preparing for their tours of the UAE and Pakistan, the Bangladesh ‘A’ side will host New Zealand ‘A’ in Sylhet for a white-ball and red-ball series. The squad includes several familiar faces from the national setup such as Mohammad Naim Sheikh, Anamul Haque Bijoy, Shariful Islam, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, and Shamim Hossain Patwari.
The three One Day matches will be held on May 5, 7, and 10 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
Following the ODIs, the two sides will face off in two four-day matches. The first will take place in Sylhet from May 14–17, while the second is scheduled for May 21–24 in Dhaka.
