Nepal secures a thrilling victory against West Indies A

Nepal has achieved a four-wicket victory against the West Indies A team. The host team Nepal and West Indies A are currently engaged in a five-match T20 series. In the first match of the series, Nepal clinched a fantastic victory against the visiting team. Batting first, the West Indies A team scored 204 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In response, Nepal reached the victory target in 19.4 overs with six wickets down.

Winning the toss, Nepalese captain Rohit Paudel chose to bat second. It was primarily on Rohit's batting that the team rode to victory. After the dismissal of both openers at team scores of 12 and 38, Rohit came in at number three and steadied the innings. Showing great batting skill, he played expansive shots to push the ball beyond the boundary. He was supported by Kushal Malla and Dipendra Singh Airee, though neither of them could convert their starts into big scores.

Rohit surpassed his fifty and was on the verge of a century, making the match considerably easier for Nepal by then. He scored 112 runs off 54 balls, including 10 fours and 6 sixes.

During the 19th over, Rohit was dismissed by Matthew Forde when the team's score was 192. The remaining runs were scored by Gulshan Jha and Prithu Baskota. In the final over, with 9 runs needed, Gulshan hit two consecutive boundaries to seal the win for Nepal.

Earlier for the West Indies A team, captain Roston Chase played a significant role with a 46-ball 74. Openers Alick Athanaze and Kacey Carty also contributed with 47 runs off 25 balls and 38 runs off 26 balls respectively, helping their team to surpass the 200-run mark.
