Mustafizur Rahman will be available with the Chennai Super Kings camp until May 1. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has extended his No Objection Certificate (NOC) by one day, allowing him to play the match against Punjab Kings, making him available as one of Chennai's leading pace stars.
BCB has extended Mustafizur Rahman’s NOC by one day to play an additional match in the ongoing IPL for Chennai Super Kings. Instead of returning to Bangladesh on April 30, Mustafizur will now be able to play against Punjab Kings on May 1.
"We had granted Mustafizur leave to play in the IPL until April 30, but as there is a match for Chennai on May 1, we extended his leave by one day upon receiving requests from Chennai and the BCCI," said BCB Deputy Manager of Cricket Operations, Shahriar Nafees.
Mustafizur is prepared for back-to-back matches against the Lucknow Super Giants on April 19 and 23. Following these, he will play against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 28 and then Punjab Kings on May 1. After these four matches, 'The Fizz' will leave the IPL and return home.
Following this, he will participate in a home T20 series against Zimbabwe from May 3 to 12. Subsequently, he will leave for Texas on May 21 to represent Bangladesh in a T20 series against the United States, in preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Last week, he was in Dhaka to complete the formalities for his U.S. visa.
