Mohammedan, Brothers & Shinepukur won in DPL today
Today there were 3 matches in the Dhaka Premier League. Mohammedan Sporting Club secured victory against Legends of Rupganj. Brothers Union lifted the victory against Gazi Tyres Cricket Academy in Savar. Meanwhile, Shinepukur Sporting Club won against Partex Sporting Club on another ground in Savar.
Rony Talukdar played a significant role with the bat in Mohammedan's victory. Rupganj struggled to score, getting all out for 178 runs. For Mohammedan, Nasum Ahmed and Asif Hasan took three wickets each.
Mohammedan faced a slight hiccup while chasing a low total from Rupganj, losing 4 wickets. Apart from Rony and Mahmudul Hasan Joy, the other batsmen managed only single-digit runs. Rony remained unbeaten with 92 runs from 114 balls. On the other hand, Mahmudul contributed 59 runs. Mohammedan secured the victory with 42nd over remaining.
Gazi Tyres batted first against Brothers Union and scored 225 runs, losing 9 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Ashraful Alam Asif top-scored with 69 runs, while Iftekhar Sajjad contributed 47 runs. For Brothers, Rahmat Ali took the highest 3 wickets.
Brothers Union chased the target of 226 runs and secured the victory with an over to spare. Mahmudul Hasan played an unbeaten innings of 50 runs, while Imtiaz Hossain and Rahatul Ferdous scored 39 and 32 runs respectively. Shamim Mia took the highest 3 wickets for Gazi Tyres.
Shinepukur Sporting Club scored 256 runs, losing 9 wickets in their innings against Partex Sporting Club. Opener Khalid Hasan top-scored with 85 runs, while Irfan Sukkur remained unbeaten with 66 runs. In reply, Partex Sporting Club could only manage 129 runs in 40 overs, getting all out. Jahiduzzaman top-scored with 53 runs. Most of the Partex batsmen returned with single-digit scores. Hasan Murad took the highest 4 wickets for Shinepukur.
