Bangladesh Aims to Level the Series in Shakib Al Hasan's Last Away Test
After a heavy defeat in the first Test at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, Bangladesh is on a mission to level the series. However, the main attraction is the excitement surrounding Shakib Al Hasan’s last away Test at Green Park in Kanpur.
Rain poured overnight in Kanpur, causing the toss to be delayed by an hour. Seeing the cloudy conditions, Indian captain Rohit Sharma opted to bowl first after winning the toss.
India has stuck with their playing XI from the Chennai Test without making any changes.
Bangladesh, on the other hand, made two changes to their lineup. Taskin Ahmed and Nahid Rana have been replaced by Taijul Islam and Khaled Ahmed.
Bangladesh Playing XI:
Shadman Islam Anik, Zakir Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Litton Das (Wicketkeeper), Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Hasan Mahmud, Khaled Ahmed.
India Playing XI:
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant (Wicketkeeper), KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Akash Deep, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj.
