Miraz's Team Nearly Defeated in 2-Day Match, Mominul Scores Century

A two-day match between BCB Red and BCB Green teams was held on July 25 and 26 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim shone with the bat in this match.

Winning the toss, BCB Red captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz chose to bat first. Despite a 50-run innings off 84 balls from Mushfiqur Rahim, the team was bowled out for 131 due to failures from other batters. For BCB Green, Nayeem Hasan took 4 wickets, Khaled Ahmed took 3, Ruyel Miah took 2, and Taijul Islam took 1.

In reply, BCB Green ended the first day at 146 for 4, with Mominul Haque unbeaten on 47.

On the second day, Mominul not only reached his fifty but also scored a century. He made 123 runs off 183 balls, hitting 15 fours and 1 six. BCB Green declared their innings at 274 for 9 in 75.1 overs. For BCB Red, captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz took 3 wickets, while Shafiqul Islam and Nasum Ahmed took 2 wickets each. Trailing by 143 runs, BCB Red began their second innings. Once again, Mushfiqur Rahim's bat provided some runs as he scored 48 off 75 balls. However, the openers, Anamul Haque Bijoy (19), Saif Hassan (14), and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (4), failed to make significant contributions.

Ahrar Amin (31*) and Habibur Rahman (19*) managed to save the wickets, helping BCB Red avoid defeat. They ended the final day's play at 147 for 6 in 41 overs, and the match ended in a draw. For BCB Green, captain Taijul Islam took 2 wickets, while Khaled Ahmed, Ruyel Miah, Mehidy Hasan Shohag, and Nayeem Hasan took one wicket each.
