Despite putting up their highest-ever T20I total against Pakistan, Bangladesh suffered a crushing 7-wicket loss in the third and final match of the series. With the defeat, Pakistan completed a 3–0 whitewash, leaving Bangladesh captain Litton Das visibly dejected at the post-match presentation.
Bangladesh, batting first, posted 196 for 6, courtesy of a scintillating 110-run opening stand between Tanzid Hasan Tamim (42 off 32) and Parvez Hossain Emon (66 off 34). It was a solid platform that the middle order failed to fully capitalize on.
However, Pakistan chased the target with ease, led by Mohammad Haris’s explosive 100 off 35 balls, handing Bangladesh their third consecutive defeat in the series.
Speaking after the match, Litton praised the batting effort, especially the openers, but didn’t mince words when assessing his team’s bowling and fielding performance:
"We didn’t bowl well in the last two matches, and our fielding wasn’t up to the mark either. But I’m happy with our batting performance on this kind of wicket. Emon and Tamim batted brilliantly, and most of the players played with responsibility.”
Litton pointed out the need for growth in adapting to different batters and match situations:
"Yes, the wicket was good, but we need to learn how to bowl to different types of batters. That’s something we must think seriously about going forward.”
He also took a moment to acknowledge the passionate support from fans in Lahore, expressing his regret:
“The crowd was amazing. They supported both teams. I’m sorry to the Bangladeshi fans – we couldn’t win even a single game. But we hope to bounce back stronger.”
