Lahore Qalandars, one of the most successful franchises of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), have signed Bangladesh pace star Mustafizur Rahman through a direct signing ahead of the upcoming PSL season.
Mustafizur had previously represented Lahore Qalandars in the 2016 and 2018 editions of the tournament. After a long gap, he is set to return in the Qalandars’ colours once again. The deal has been agreed at PKR 6.44 crore, which is approximately BDT 3 crore.
Speaking about Mustafizur’s return, Lahore Qalandars owner Sameen Rana said,
“Once a Qalandar, always a Qalandar. Mustafizur is not just a player; he is part of our family. We are extremely excited to welcome him back into the dressing room. His experience and ability will be crucial as we aim to defend our title.”
Earlier, the franchise retained captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, batter Abdullah Shafique, all-rounder Sikandar Raza, and promising youngster Mohammad Naeem. This decision has further strengthened the team’s core ahead of the major auction.
By signing Mustafizur Rahman, Lahore Qalandars have bolstered their preparations as they look to defend their PSL title in the upcoming season.
