India extended their unassailable lead in the series with a commanding victory in the third T20 International against New Zealand. Riding on explosive half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma and captain Suryakumar Yadav, India chased down the target in just 10 overs to win by eight wickets.
Batting first on Sunday, New Zealand posted 153 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs. Glenn Phillips top-scored for the visitors with 48 runs, while Mark Chapman contributed 32 and Mitchell Santner added 27. Jasprit Bumrah was the standout bowler for India, claiming three wickets for just 17 runs. He was well supported by Hardik Pandya (2/23), Ravi Bishnoi (2/18), and Harshit Rana (1/35), who bowled with discipline.
In reply, India came out all guns blazing from the start. Abhishek Sharma played a blistering knock of 68 off just 20 balls, while skipper Suryakumar Yadav provided excellent support with a rapid 57 off 26 deliveries. India reached 155 for 2 in just 10 overs to seal the match.
With this win, India moved ahead 3-0 in the five-match T20I series, securing the series victory with two matches still to be played.
