ICC Announces Warm-Up Schedule for Women’s Cricket World Cup
The International Cricket Council (ICC) today released the schedule for the warm-up matches ahead of the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup. Eight participating teams will fine-tune their preparations from 25 to 28 September across four venues in India and Sri Lanka.
A total of nine day-night matches will be played in Bengaluru (India) and Colombo (Sri Lanka), featuring all the main teams as well as invited ‘A’ sides.
On the opening day, 25 September, hosts India will take on England at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground 1 in Bengaluru—a meeting that evokes memories of the 2017 World Cup final between the two sides. Also on the same day, South Africa will face New Zealand at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, while Sri Lanka will play Pakistan at Colombo Cricket Club. Bangladesh will meet the Sri Lanka ‘A’ side at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Defending champions Australia will begin their warm-up campaign on 27 September against England. That day will also feature India vs. New Zealand (Bengaluru), and Sri Lanka vs. Bangladesh (Colombo). South Africa will play India ‘A’, while Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka ‘A’.

India vs. England – BCCI Excellence 1, Bengaluru
South Africa vs. New Zealand – M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru
Sri Lanka vs. Pakistan – Colombo Cricket Club
Bangladesh vs. Sri Lanka ‘A’ – R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo
27 September:

The main Women’s World Cup will begin on 30 September and run until 2 November, with matches scheduled across Guwahati, Indore, Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru, and Colombo.
Returning to the subcontinent for the first time in 12 years, this edition of women’s cricket’s biggest event is expected to be even more competitive and exciting than ever.
