The second and final Test between Bangladesh and Pakistan was scheduled to start today (August 30). However, due to continuous rain in Rawalpindi, the first day's play has been canceled, and the toss could not take place.

Although the toss was supposed to happen at 10:30 AM Bangladesh time, it was not held due to rain and a wet outfield. Seeing the unfavorable conditions, the first day's play was declared abandoned.

At 1:06 PM Bangladesh time, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced, "The first day's play of the second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium has been called off due to persistent rain and wet outfield."

In Rawalpindi's first Test, Taskin was not included in the playing XI. Having last played a Test match against Afghanistan in June last year, Taskin may return in the series against Pakistan. If there is one change, Nahid Rana will lose his spot in the playing XI, as the pacer was quite expensive in the first Test.

Although Pakistan announced a 12-member squad the previous day, they will reveal the final playing XI at the toss. The only recognized spinner Abrar Ahmed might return to action. Unlike the first Test, where they played with four pacers, Pakistan is likely to field a spinner this time. On the other hand, Bangladesh might attack with three pacers.

In the first Test, Bangladesh achieved a historic 10-wicket victory. Now the Tigers have the opportunity to win the series.

Bangladesh's probable XI:Zakir Hasan, Shadman Islam, Najmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Liton Das (Wicketkeeper), Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Shariful Islam, Hasan Mahmud, Taskin Ahmed.

Pakistan's probable XI:Shan Masood (Captain), Saud Shakeel (Vice-captain), Abrar Ahmed, Abdullah Shafique, Babar Azam, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Rizwan (Wicketkeeper), Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Mir Hamza.
