BCL to Begin on February 23, Squads for Four Teams Announced

Competitive cricket is set to return in the country ahead of the Pakistan series. To prepare the players for the upcoming international assignment, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to organize the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) in the one-day format.

Pakistan are scheduled to tour Bangladesh on March 10 for a three-match ODI series. Following a proposal from the BCB’s tournament committee, the BCL will commence on February 23 and conclude on March 4. All matches except the final will be held in Rajshahi and Bogura.

As part of workload management, fast bowler Taskin Ahmed has been rested from the tournament. Batter Mahmudul Hasan Joy will miss out due to injury. Enamul Haque Bijoy and Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, who did not get opportunities in the latest edition of the BPL, have been included in the BCL squads.
