BCB Donates Tk 20 Million for Development of Dhaka University Physical Education Ground
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has donated Tk 20 million as budgetary support for the development of the ground at Dhaka University’s Physical Education Center.
At a ceremony held today at the National Sports Council (NSC) conference room, BCB Director Nazmul Abedeen handed over the cheque to Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan.
Adviser to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Dr. Asif Nazrul was present at the event. Officials from the National Sports Council (NSC) and the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) also attended the ceremony.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the BCB and Dhaka University is expected to be signed soon. Under the agreement, the BCB will be granted access to use the ground for a minimum of 100 days during the cricket season.
Stakeholders expressed hope that the donation would accelerate the development of sports infrastructure at the university.
